On December 29, 2016, I began a two-week journey through India along with 15 other adventurous friends. We mainly traveled by road, but we did have one 24-hour train ride. Starting in New Delhi, we then ventured to Rishikesh and Varanasi, and finally to Agra before heading back to Delhi. While traveling, photos, along with written and illustrated documentation, helped keep my thoughts organized. Since returning to the States, I have been drawing from my own photos and those of a few friends to bring my trip round full circle and to fully understand the changes this adventure brought about within me. Working in ink and watercolor, I have illustrated 40 scenes that express my love for this magical country.
